CORONATION Street’s Yasmeen Nazir is going to turn the tables on her abusive husband Geoff Metcalfe tonight.
The imprisoned chef – who is played by actress Shelley King in the ITV soap – is currently locked up for stabbing Geoff after he attacked her.
Viewers have seen this week how Geoff has tried to manipulate Yasmeen into coming back home and agreeing to be his wife again.
He has realised that people on the cobbles know he is guilty of abusing her – and they aren’t being quiet about it.
Even his own daughter-in-law Sally has seen through him and vowed to do whatever it takes to free Yasmeen from prison.
Geoff thinks his only way to keep control is to stop the CPS from prosecuting Yasmeen so she can return home and then he can control her once more.
In next week’s episodes Geoff goes onto his radio show to talk about how he has forgiven her and wants to help her.
But behind bars Yasmeen is visited by Geoff’s ex-wife – who drops a bombshell about what really went on between her and Geoff.
Meanwhile Yasmeen’s cellmate gives her a book on coercive control and the offer of her secret phone to call Geoff.
Yasmeen plucks up the courage to phone Geoff and tells him that she does want to be with him again – but it’s clear she has another agenda.
Is she playing him at his own game finally?
Unfortunately when the day of her trial arrives it’s all too much for Yasmeen and as she’s telling Imran about Geoff’s ex-wife, she suffers a heart attack in prison.
