Alison Hammond downed a pint as she was greeted back to the This Morning studio today for the first time in four months.
Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were excited to see their colleague for the first time in person for so long.
Alison, 45, made the most of her grand entrance into the studio as she wore a two-metre pole on her head decorated with multi-coloured fabric.
“I’m here guys!” Alison announced, but warned: “Keep your distance, guys!”
However Holly responded: “This is really hard because you give the best hugs.”
“I know, man,” she replied. “Let’s do a virtual one.”
“My body is just wanting to give you a hug right now,” Holly said, opening her arms.
“It’s so good to see you both,” Alison said.
Holly exclaimed: “I can’t believe you’re here!”
Later, Alison watched Holly and Phil as the pair played Spin To Win – which Phil stopped when he noticed her with a beer.
“Are you drinking a pint?!” Phil exclaimed.
“Yep,” she replied as she downed her beer.
Laura Tobin also returned to the Good Morning Britain studio for the first time in 98 days today.
The weather presenter, 38, donned a lilac trouser suit and grinned brightly as Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid welcomed her back.
Piers announced: “We have a little visitor! Laura Tobin!”
Susanna asked: “How many days away have you been [away]?
“98 days since I was last in the studio,” Laura said.
“How’s it been?” Piers asked. “Weird to be back after all this time. We forget about you guys, that half the team hasn’t been here.”
Laura said: “It’s been a real privilege to be working from home, be in my kitchen, to be there to look after my daughter the second the show finishes and take over from my husband.
“Everyone has been doing that plate spinning juggling with the family.
“It’s also been really nice to watch the show from home almost as a viewer and the 98 days has flown by but it’s really nice to be here with a weather map, pointing to things.”
In order to return to the GMB studio, Laura had to undergo a big risk assessment.
“A huge risk assessment, it’s gone all the way up and all the way back down again,” she said.
