Sometimes optical illusions can have you stumped for days.
And no matter how many times you look at one, you’ll always have a different answer to someone else.
But that doesn’t matter, as illusions depend on what you see.
So if you enjoy the confusion, here’s an optical illusion which will have you questioning it for hours, or even days.
Posting on the Optics4Kids website, a photo of a red box and sphere is asking users what they see.
It said: “Keep your eyes on the dot. Is it in the front or in the back of the cube?”
While you might spend a few minutes overthinking this image, it doesn’t really require much thought.
In fact, no matter how long you look at it, chances are there are no right or wrong answers.
But if you’re looking for an answer, it’s this simple.
The website told viewers to “ask a friend and see if they agree.”
That means it doesn’t matter if you see the sphere inside or outside the box, there is no valid answer.
Are you looking for more optical illusions?
In this illusion, it will trick you to think the identical spots are different colours.
It features two grey dots on a background which consists of a gradient from light grey to black.
And while the dots are alike, they appear differently based on where they are placed against the background.
In another optical illusion, how many triangles do you see in this brainteaser?
It’s called the Kanizsa Triangle and the caption under the photo read: “How many triangles are present in the image?”
And in this illusion it asks you “what do you see” after staring at the lightbulb for 30 seconds.
