Manchester United overturned a 1-0 deficit to advance their top four hopes and sink Bournemouth closer to relegation with a dominant 5-2 win at Old Trafford.
Junior Stanislas nutmegged Harry Maguire before beating David de Gea at the near post to give the Red Devils an early scare, but Mason Greenwood levelled just before the half-hour mark with a powerful strike.
Marcus Rashford then gave the hosts the lead from the penalty spot before Anthony Martial’s fantastic curling effort gave United a two-goal advantage heading into the break.
The Cherries capitalised on United’s shaky start to the second-half by narrowing the deficit with Joshua King’s penalty but Greenwood found the top corner with a stunning effort to restore the two-goal cushion.
And Bruno Fernandes secured the victory with a thunderous free kick to beat Ramsdale at the far post.
Here is how United’s stars rated.
David de Gea – 5
Had no chance with King’s powerful penalty but beaten too easily at his near post for Stanislas’ opener and distribution found wanting throughout.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6
Typically solid in defence and provided a sublime cross to assist Rashford in the second-half, but the goal was disallowed for offside
Harry Maguire – 5
Will be disappointed to have been nutmegged so easily for Stanislas’ goal and struggled to steady the ship during a frantic opening to the second-half.
Victor Lindelof – 6
The more solid of the centre-back duo but substituted for Eric Bailly at half-time.
Luke Shaw – 6
Given the chance to extend himself down the left wing and was a constant outlet.
Paul Pogba – 7
Continues to excel in the double-pivot, where he is allowed to dazzle with his array of passing and dictate play.
Nemanja Matic – 6
The Serb is showing why he was handed a contract extension in March and his tireless performances alongside Pogba are rightly keeping Scott McTominay and Fred out of the starting lineup.
Mason Greenwood – 8
Produced a man-of-the-match performance by scoring the equaliser and later restoring United’s two-goal cushion. Both chances were well-taken and Greenwood continues to make the right wing berth his own.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
At the centre of United’s attacks and continues to post remarkable involvement numbers with another goal and assist.
Marcus Rashford – 7
Was handed penalty duties by Bruno Fernandes and made no mistake with an effort into the bottom corner. Narrowly denied a second goal for offside in the second-half and was a creative force.
Anthony Martial – 7
Like Rashford, reached the landmark of 20 goals for the season and did so in style. His bending strike at the end of the first-half put United on course for victory.
