RuPaul has mysteriously wiped all his social media accounts.
First his Instagram snaps were removed one at a time, followed by all his tweets.
Ru – full name RuPaul Andre Charles – had apparently last liked posts back in March, according to eagle-eyed fans.
He’s remained largely absent for months – and now fans are desperate to know where he’s gone.
One speculated that the move means he’s working on series 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Kameron Michaels – the stage name for drag act Dane Young, who starred on series 10 of Drag Race – has also wiped social media, causing fans to wonder whether they’re working on something together.
Another joked that he’d decided to leave the band Fifth Harmony.
Meanwhile, it’s been reported he could be following in best mate Michelle Visage’s footsteps by taking to the Strictly dance floor.
It’s thought Ru is already a huge fan of the show following Michelle’s stint last year, which saw her take to the floor with hunky pro Giovanni Pernice.
It would mark the first appearance of a drag queen on the show, and would allow Ru to build on the success of last year’s Drag Race UK debut.
The BBC did, however, announce that filming for the second series had to be put on hold amid the coronavirus disruption.
A spokesperson announced: “In light of the spread of COVID-19, after much consideration, production on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will be temporarily pausing filming both in consultation with and supported by the BBC.
“We will continue to review all productions on a case by case basis and will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the Foreign Office, World Health Organisation and Public Health England.”
Fans need not go without, however, as Drag Race Canada hits BBC iPlayer from today.
