Proposals are supposed to be a magical and unforgettable moment for a couple.
Some might like flowers and candles, while others prefer to be popped the question in more spontaneous ways.
But regardless of how big the sweet gesture is, the idea of a proposal is that it’s romantic and memorable.
As for one guy, he took it to another level when he decided to ask the all-important question to his girlfriend by using a McDonald’s billboard.
Posting it on the social media page, a woman named Ruby said: “Nothing like a grand gesture to REALLY show you’re ready for commitment, am I right?!”
The photo, which was taken in Queensbury, New York, shows how someone wrote “Courtney will you marry me?” in green ink over the fast food advertisement.
But the colour of the pen was so hard to read against the background of a Dr Pepper and McCafe iced coffee.
According to Mirror Online, people were very unpressed by the whole thing.
Some Facebook users even hoped that Courtney didn’t accept her boyfriend’s proposal either.
One said: “Just no.”
Another added: “Dude didn’t even comprehend kindergarten art. It’s contrasting colours idiot. Hope Courtney nopes out of that mess.”
A third commented: “The green colour annoys me the most. If you are going to deface property at least don’t give us a migraine trying to read it!”
