Chelsea have already completed significant transfers ahead of next season.
Frank Lampard’s side, who are chasing a top-four finish and remain involved in the FA Cup and Champions League, have brought in Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, both of whom will add quality to the Blues in 2020/21.
However, Chelsea continue to be linked with several other possible additions while a few of their players are rumoured to be on their way out.
With the Blues poised to further demonstrate their pulling power, here are four of the latest Chelsea rumours.
Chelsea interested in Digne
Lampard is keen to strengthen the left side of his defence with competition needed for Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.
The Blues’ top target in that position is Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell, but they have identified the Frenchman as a possible alternative with the Foxes proving stubborn over their £75m asking price.
Digne, who Everton signed from Barcelona for £18m in 2018, has been a regular under Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park.
Given his importance to the Toffees’ first-team, the report claims they will demand a ‘high fee’.
Inter linked with triple Blues swoop
Inter Milan are interested in signing three Chelsea players this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri are managed by former Blues boss Antonio Conte who is keen to be reunited with Emerson Palmieri, Marcos Alonso and Olivier Giroud.
Conte has regularly raided the Premier League since taking over at the San Siro, with Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen and Ashley Young having joined with Alexis Sanchez and Chelsea’s Victor Moses also arriving on loan.
And it seems as though the coach wants to bolster his squad with three of the players he signed during his two-year stint at Stamford Bridge.
Everton eye Zouma return
Everton have stepped up their interest in Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, according to Le10Sport.
Toffees boss Ancelotti has prioritised the signing of a centre-back this summer and has also made enquiries over the availability of Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara and PSG’s Thiago Silva.
However, there may be a stronger chance of landing Zouma given his season-long spell at Goodison Park during the 2018/19 campaign.
Zouma has lost his place in Lampard’s Premier League starting XI since the restart, with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen the preferred partnership at the heart of the Blues defence.
Jorginho open to Blues exit
Jorginho is willing to leave Chelsea this summer after being marginalised by Lampard, according to Area Napoli.
The Italy international has not featured in any of Chelsea’s four games since the restart amid rumours linking him with a move to Juventus, which would reunite the 28-year-old with Maurizio Sarri.
Lampard has a plethora of options in central midfield with N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Ross Barkley, Billy Gilmour, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount all competing for places.
Jorginho was a £57m arrival from Napoli in 2018. He has made 91 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals.
