Since the coronavirus lockdown, fast food chains have been operating with limited menus.
This is to limit the number of staff needed in the kitchen and to prevent them from crossing into other workers sections.
Since May, McDonald’s have been open for delivery, drive-thru and some takeaway options.
Yesterday, they announced that they are adding six further fan favourites to their menu again.
Which is great news for those who are missing out on their top foodie picks.
The returning items include mayo chicken burgers, hot drinks and milkshakes.
Menu items returning to McDonald’s…
- Mayo chicken
- Bacon mayo chicken
- Hot chocolate
- Bacon double cheeseburger
- Happy Meal organic milk
We can’t wait to get our hands on a creamy milkshake when the sun returns.
The company is still maintaining safety measures and social distancing in their kitchens.
However, they are constantly reviewing and adapting their practices.
They claim that they will re-introduce even more items in late summer.
A statement from McDonald’s UK & Ireland CEO Paul Pomroy said: “From 11 am, on Wednesday 8th July, we will reintroduce some of the main menu items you’ve told us you’re missing, as we slowly seek to return to our full menu.”
The original limited menu includes the following items, which will remain on sale:
- Big Mac
- Quarter Pounder
- Chicken Sandwich
- Double cheeseburger
- Chicken McNuggets
- Chicken selects
- Mozzarella dippers
- Fruit bag
- Various drinks
While the Veggie Deluxe and Veggie Dippers were not originally included, they were added to the menu at a later date.
