ASOS is selling tote bags with spelling errors on them.
The retailer’s “be kind to yourself” accessory displays a message of self care.
But unfortunately, the designer forgot to add the letter “e” to the word breathe.
For this reason, the shopper bag reads: “Be Kind To Yourself. Sleep breath reflect repeat.”
Sleep breath certainly isn’t something that makes us feel kind… it’s something we’d rather avoid altogether.
This is probably why customers seem a bit confused by the ASOS item.
Some have taken to Twitter to ask questions about the bag.
One commenter wrote: “@ASOS_HeretoHelp. Is this meant to say breath or was it supposed to say breathe?”
And another said: “Bought lots of your stuff over the years. Am I missing something re. this bag? Surely ‘breath’ should be ‘breathe’, right?”
ASOS responded the the tweets with a light-hearted message.
A spokesperson wrote: “Thank you for pointing that out. Looks like one of our designers has had a Homer Simpson moment there.”
The spokesperson added that ASOS will get the mistake “looked into”.
But even if the retailer doesn’t, customers don’t seem to be too bothered by the blunder.
According to the online website, the accessory is still “selling fast”.
Either shoppers haven’t noticed the error or they’re not fussed about it.
This isn’t the only ASOS item to divide opinion recently.
